However, one wonders if such a move would significantly improve upon on those options van Gaal currently calls upon.
Though Togo international Adebayor isn’t the same player he once was, although the powerful forward does have a rich Premier League pedigree that could lead van Gaal to believe a move for the experienced marksman may be a signing worth considering.
Adebayor has scored 96 Premier League goals in 225 appearances for Arsenal, Man City and Tottenham.
