United boss snubbed in goodbye post.

Former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez deliberately snubbed manager Louis van Gaal in his farewell post to the club on Instagram.

The Mexican international, who joined Bayer Leverkusen on deadline day, instead focused his thanks for previous boss Sir Alex Ferguson, who brought him to Old Trafford in 2010.

Hernandez shone under Ferguson before losing his place under both David Moyes and Van Gaal, who have harshly overlooked him as an option to play regularly up front, despite his fine scoring record.

Whilst thanking Ferguson and the fans, it is perhaps little surprise that Hernandez had little to say about the Dutch coach.

I want to thank Sir Alex Ferguson & Jim Lawlor, the club staff, all the players I played with; but specially I want to thank all the Manchester United fans in the UK and all around the world for the incredible support I’ve had this past 4 years and all the best wishes they have for me in my new chapter!! #MUFC #GGMU #2premierleagues #19&20 #60goles #85partidoscomotitular #gracias
