Lithuania 0-3 England – report & goal videos as Everton & Arsenal stars fire Roy’s Boys to Euro history

Posted by

England’s perfect Euro 2016 qualifying campaign was rounded off in typically efficient fashion on Monday night as Roy Hodgson’s side cruised to a 3-0 win over Lithuania in Vilinus.

Everton midfielder Ross Barkley got things going on 29 minutes, before Harry Kane found the net before half time via the post and the head of goalkeeper Giedrius Arlauskis, who was credited with an own goal.

Arsenal starlet Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain completed the scoring just after the hour mark, smashing high into the net after being set up by Tottenham Hotspur right-back Kyle Walker.

England will go into next summer’s European Championship as the only side who won all of their qualifying matches – the first time they have ever done this.

The Three Lions scored 31 goals in 10 games, conceding just three.
