Harry Kane responds to Premier League transfer question after scoring return in England against Arsenal

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has responded to questions about his future after coming back to play in England against Arsenal in the Champions League last night.

The England international scored from the penalty spot against the Gunners in an exciting 2-2 draw at the Emirates Stadium last night, but it seems playing in front of a familiar crowd giving him plenty of stick didn’t exactly have him pining for a move back to the Premier League.

Speaking to the press in the mixed zone after the game, Kane admitted he needed a change of scene last summer when he left Tottenham for Bayern, and he’s clearly enjoying his time in Germany.

The 30-year-old may be experiencing a frustrating first season in the Bundesliga, with Bayer Leverkusen running away with the title race at the moment and sure to be crowned champions soon, though the Champions League is still up for grabs.

Kane says he wants to play his part for Bayern and if he doesn’t succeed he’ll be back to try again with them next season.

“I’m really enjoying my experience in Germany. It was a step that I needed in my career, just for a fresh challenge, new surroundings, new stadiums, new teams, and I’m really happy that I made the move,” Kane said.

“Of course I know how big the Premier League is, I played there for many years, but my future is at Bayern Munich. I’ve got a four-year contract and I’m really enjoying it. I’m hopefully able to make something special happen this season, but, if not, I’ll be ready to go again in the summer and turn things around.”
