Chelsea are understood to be reviving their interest in Galatasaray playmaker Wesley Sneijder.

According to sources in Turkey, the Blues—who have been long-term admirers of the former Inter Milan star—are understood to be considering a move to bring the attacking midfielder to Stamford Bridge.

Fanatik [as per Turkish Football] report that Mourinho is seeking a reunion with the Dutchman, with whom he enjoyed great success earlier in his career, and would love to enlist the 31-year-old as he attempts to save Chelsea’s flagging season.

The Pensioners currently sit down in 16th in the Premier League table, having won only three of their opening 12 matches. Mourinho’s side have already lost seven matches and, having amassed only 11 points, have spent the international break down near the relegation zone—unfamiliar territory for the reigning champions.

Mourinho and Sneijder lifted both the Champions League and the Serie A title together at Internazionale, although it remains to be seen whether the Portuguese coach could tempt the Dutchman away from Galatasaray, where he is reportedly enjoying life and still has three years left on his contract [Turkish Football].
