Olivier Giroud and Mesut Ozil is a combination that may fire Arsenal to an overdue Premier League title.
The Gunners are making a statement of their championship credentials against Manchester City tonight. They currently lead the Citizens 2-0 thanks to another Giroud goal and two more Ozil assists.
The German teed up Theo Walcott for a ferocious 33rd-minute opener at the Emirates Stadium, and then slipped in Giroud to finish through the legs of Joe Hart for Arsenal’s second before the break.

Ozil has now supplied a staggering 15 goals in 17 games this term – more than twice as many as anybody else in the division and only five short of Thierry Henry’s Premier League record of 20 in a campaign.
Giroud’s scoring stats are equally as impressive. He has 12 goals in his last 14 games in all competitions, and 19 in the league throughout 2015 – only Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane has more with 25.
Victory for the Gunners would put them four points clear of the Citizens in second. Leicester City will be top of the table on Christmas Day, but Ozil and Giroud’s exploits may see Arsenal there come May.
