Theo Walcott’s lady friend Melanie Slade looking very nice indeed in this German FHM shoot. Anyone speak any German by the way? We are wondering what the text on the first photo may be about. Yes in case you hadn’t noticed there are some words on these pics and not just exposed flesh!

This is rather odd. Theo gets a Tattoo and we get to see the nippy attacker having it done but what does that have to do with the company he is promoting? What do you think? Send you ideas on a stamp addressed envelope to…..

Arsene Wenger has probably called on his team to show some fighting spirit on countless occasions, although this is not what he had in mind! Yesterday, William Gallas was in the headlines for revealing the in-fighting that has taken place within the Arsenal camp this season, and now it appears as though the culprits names have been revealed. Arsene Wenger’s team had some fun in Istanbul on Tuesday night, scoring no less than five goals against Fenerbahce and proving that when they’re good, they’re very good! Nevertheless, have scoring sprees against Porto and the Turkish champions really sent a warning message out to the rest of Europe, or does it simply demonstrate that Arsenal can turn on the style when they get their noses in front. What is it about former England players and the inane comments that they make ahead of international matches? Perhaps, when quizzed about the national team, they simply can’t resist making a controversial statement which is sure to give them the publicity that they once received for pulling on the Three Lions jersey with pride. Arsene Wenger is a big Theo Walcott fan, but he has asked for patience as the young speedster slowly matures. Walcott hasn’t had the easiest of rides, being thrust into the limelight by Sven Goran Eriksson, who decided to pick him for the England World Cup squad only to not play the young whelp at all. You can take the boy out of Arsenal, but it seems like you can’t take the Arsenal out of the boy. The Daily Telegraph report that Thierry Henry was almost as inconsolable as his former Gunners team-mates after watching them bow out of Europe on Tuesday night. The striker still clearly holds the club close to his heart, despite joining Barcelona last summer. The newspaper reveals that he had special praise for Theo Walcott’s mazy run to assist Arsenal’s second goal, something that Henry himself would have been pleased with.
”I watched the game like a lunatic. Especially when Theo [Walcott] went on that run – it was out of this world. ‘Come on, guys!’ I was saying. ‘Six minutes to go.’ And then came the penalty and I was so sad because these lads have been amazing all season. OK, they have the opportunity to bounce back at Manchester and keep their title hopes alive, but as an Arsenal supporter I was really down for them. I didn’t think they deserved it. It wasn’t so much the penalty at Anfield as the penalty they didn’t get at the Emirates. If they had won the first leg, it would have been different.”
Well Thierry, as they say, if my auntie had bollocks, she’s be my uncle. If Liverpool had gone out instead, I’m sure their fans would have bemoaned an inability to tackle Walcott, who ran the length of the pitch to set up Adebayor. Arsenal fans will surely be hoping that the Barca striker can inflict some damage on Manchester United in the semi-final of the Champions League.

David Bentley likes to talk. Whether it’s to snub the England Under-21’s, talk up the chances of him leaving Blackburn or telling Theo Walcott to leave Arsenal, the boy will speak his mind. The Daily Mail are today reporting that the England winger has been sounding off again, this time about a nasty gambling problem he had while at Arsenal.
“I was betting on anything. It starts off with pounds, then it’s a hundred, then it’s thousands. You start off wanting to win £100 and then it’s £100,000.”
He said: “I was 14 when I first went into a betting shop. I used to go with a few of my mates at first and with our dads as well. It was when I started earning more that I started to get really heavily into it. I was addicted to everything — horses, dogs, online poker and the American sports.
“I would wake up in the morning and the first thing I would think about would be to have a bet rather than play football. All I wanted was to have a bet.”
This is not the first instance of footballers getting hooked on gambling. Indeed, with so much spare time on their hands, it’s little wonder that so many develop addictions to booze, drugs and betting. What’s the odds on Mr Bentley leaving Ewood Park in the summer for pastures new? If rumours are to be believed, it’s looking like an odds-on chance right now.

You can accuse David Bentley of being plenty of things but a wallflower he is not. He was recently criticised by former manager Arsene Wenger after he suggested that Theo Walcott might want to consider moving away from the Emirates for the sake of his career. However, the England winger is now being slightly hypocritical by hinting that his own future might lie away from Ewood Park at the end of the season. Sporting Life report that Bentley is disappointed by Rovers’ inability to finish in the European places, although surely a move to a ‘bigger club’ would result in him being rotated regularly?
“I owe so much to Blackburn,” he told the Daily Star Sunday. “They have given me a platform – financially and to play every week.
“My contract is getting negotiated at the minute, but you never know what is round the corner.
“We need to be in Europe but we are probably not going to make it – which is disappointing from a personal point of view.”
Seems like Mark Hughes is going to have a job on his hands in the summer persuading the player to stay at the club. It’s fair to say that Arsenal are unlikely to want him back, despite their lack of wide options this season. Could it be that North London rivals Tottenham will continue their policy of signing young English talent, especially given the poor form of Aaron Lennon this season?

So England manager Fabio Capello started out like all the rest, making big promises amid feverish press speculation, but now the Italian’s true colours are coming out. Both ends of the craptastic spectrum are catered for with Capello’s 30 man squad to face France next Wednesday, with both young benchwarming speed merchant Theo Walcott and crusty Hollywood has-been David Beckham named amongst the thirty.
Theo Walcott is remembered as being Sven Goran Eriksson’s last throw of the dice (indeed the last time that Theo was in the squad), but taking a punt on him so early on in his England tenure smacks of desperation. Walcott is predominantly used as an impact player by Wenger, but to pick him on the basis of his speed is foolhardy, all of this pales into insignificance with the picking of Beckham though.
I remember how superior I felt when Ronaldo was ‘forcibly’ picked in the ‘98 World Cup Final – not thinking that could ever happen to my England, well it has – admittedly to a lesser extent, but at the same time Becks is plying his trade in LA – a place as synonymous with ‘football’ as North Korea is with ‘democracy’ – Beckham does not deserve 100 caps, and it is an utter disgrace that he is being allowed to do so!

People aren’t as stupid as you think they are. This appears to be a point that England Under-21 boss Stuart Pearce has picked up on as he named his squad for a friendly against Poland. Pearce has “omitted” Theo Walcott, Gabriel Agbonlahor and Aaron Lennon from his main squad. Some may think this and odd move, but Pearce was quick to address this:
“You never know, there might be one or two names in Fabio’s squad that make you sit up and listen” – Staurt Pearce
Basically, he has been instructed by Don Fabio that he would like to try out these young lads in the senior squad when they travel to France and has to leave them out of his own squad. Yet, saying that isn’t as fun as making it seem all mysterious.
Walcott has not featured in the senior England set-up since his shock call-up to the 2006 World Cup squad. However, he has managed to get a few games for Arsenal, a great feat for an Englishman, and showed a few people in the San Siro what he could do.

Yesterday Blackburn Rovers star David Bentley created a sensation by publicly advising Arsenal youngster Theo Walcott to leave the Emirates. Today it is the Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger who is hitting back at Bentley, a graduate of the Arsenal youth academy.
Wenger says:
I don’t give much importance to his opinion. Bentley is entitled to his opinions but it doesn’t mean he is right.
I don’t know why one player should incite another to leave his club. It’s not his job and I don’t know why he would do it.
When you’re at one of the biggest clubs in the world you have to accept competition. If you accept it, competition makes you better. If you move down, you’re not at the top.
People forget Theo is young. At 18, it is difficult to play for one of the world’s biggest clubs regularly. At the moment, he has one big quality — when he comes on, he makes a big impact. He’s not there completely when he starts, but it is transitional. Soon he will have exactly the same impact when he starts.
I signed Nicolas Anelka when he was 17-and-a-half and for the first four months he looked completely behind the team. Within another two months he was in front of Ian Wright.
Hard to argue with Wenger’s point of view really. You see, Theo Walcott is just 18 and he cannot play regularly at one of the top clubs in Europe at this age. Walcott needs to stay calm and patience about his chances at the Emirates.
