Manchester United are believed to be closing in on a move for starlet Benfica forward Renato Sanches after stepping up their scouting of the player.
The Metro reported last week that the Red Devils were having the 18-year-old watched, but it now appears Red Devils scouts have been back a second time for a closer look.
The scouting team sent glowing reports back to headquarters, and Louis van Gaal was so excited by what he heard that he ordered his watchmen to remain in Lisbon for the rest of the week to take in a second game.
For the 2nd time in 4 days, Man United were present to watch Benfica in their 6-0 win last night. Renato Sanches(18) the target, reportedly.

Van Gaal is a known admirer of the teenager, who has bagged two goals in eight senior appearances for Benfica this season, and will now likely put together an offer to secure his signature.
Journalist Jan Hagen reported via Twitter the scouting team were in attendance as Benfica ran riot 6-0 against Maritimo, keeping a vigilant eye on Sanches.
However, Hagen then went on to report that reps from both Aston Villa and Zenit St Petersburg were also in attendance, but there was no word on who they were tracking.
Aston Villa & Zenit were also present at Estádio da Luz last night to watch Benfica vs Marítimo.
