Manchester United are reportedly preparing a stunning £65million move for Chelsea winger Eden Hazard, according to the Daily Star.
United have spent the past year attempting to sign a higher calibre of player, targeting the likes of Gareth Bale, Neymar and Sergio Ramos in a bid to recapture their status as the best side in the country.
But their struggles in attracting big name players from abroad has seen them turn their attentions to their domestic rivals, and Hazard in particular, who has endured a difficult campaign at Stamford Bridge where he is still yet to register a single goal.
However, despite his troubles this season, he is still highly regarded, and The Star report claims that United could tempt the Blues to sell for a fee in the region of £65m and then tempt the player north with a wage packet that could reach £250,000-per-week.
It had emerged yesterday that the 25-year-old told friends that he would be leaving Stamford Bridge soon (via Daily Mail), but it is likely that Chelsea would rather sell abroad than to a league rival.
