The agent of Paris Saint Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi has confirmed that he is in talks with Chelsea over a possible move to Stamford Bridge, according to the Metro.
Blues boss Guus Hiddink has confirmed that he will be on the lookout for new strikers during the January transfer market after admitting it’s an area of the squad that needs boosting.
The 30-year-old has been tipped to leave the French capital in the near future, given that he’s out of contract at the club at the end of the season, and the player’s agent Alessandro Moggi has confirmed that there have been talks with both Chelsea and Italian giants Inter Milan.
“Inter are the most interested team at the moment,” Moggi is quoted as saying.
“There was interest from Barcelona and Chelsea, and we’re talking with the Blues.
“I can’t rule out him only leaving Paris at the end of the season though, as Paris Saint-Germain have expressed an interest in keeping him.”
It is thought that Lavezzi would be available for as little £4.5m, but at 30 his age may put off many from offering huge personal terms.
