Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey drew his side level just minutes after Roberto Firmino had given Liverpool the lead at Anfield on Wednesday night.
The two sides both made their intentions clear early on, but it was the hosts who struck first as Firmino found the back of the net after just 10 minutes.
With the threat of Jurgen Klopp’s side then overpowering their rivals with the crowd firmly behind them, the Gunners scored a crucial goal through Ramsey as the Welshman produced a cool finish to level matters.
While that appeared to give Arsenal the initiative, it wasn’t long before Arsene Wenger’s men were behind again as Firmino grabbed his second of the game with a stunning effort to beat Petr Cech.
However, in a thrilling game between two sides constantly pushing for more goals, Arsenal found another equaliser just minutes later as Olivier Giroud made the most of some awful Liverpool defending from a corner to flick an effort past Simon Mignolet to make it 2-2 with less than 25 minutes gone in the game.
Liverpool will be desperate to secure a win in a bid to close the gap on the top four, while Arsenal will hope to pick a positive result in order to protect their lead at the top of the Premier League table.
