Man United legend likely to be Louis van Gaal’s replacement

Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs is being tipped to be the club’s next manager despite links with former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, the Daily Mail reports.

Current boss Louis van Gaal is on thin ice with the club at the moment, with speculation increasing over his long term future.

Mourinho has been the overwhelming favourite to take over from the Dutchman since being relieved of his own duties with Chelsea earlier in the campaign, but The Mail is now claiming that former winger Ryan Giggs, who is currently acting as van Gaal’s number two, will be the man most likely to step into the hot seat next.

However, it is believed that Giggs is not keen on being named as manager on an interim basis like he was when he took over from David Moyes in 2013.

He instead wants to be given the job on a full time basis and be appointed on a full-time basis if he is to lead the club.
