Chelsea striker Diego Costa was sent off against Everton on Saturday night, as the Spaniard let his temper get the better of him yet again.
After clashing with Gareth Barry in the first half, Costa didn’t learn his lesson as he came face-to-face with the former England international after the break.
As the two tangled, the former Atletico Madrid star got up to his feet and pushed his head into Barry’s before the replays showed that he attempted to bite his neck.
While referee Michael Oliver failed to spot the bite, Costa was booked for the initial challenge and clash and was subsequently sent off after being cautioned prior to the break.
It remains to be seen whether or not he faces further disciplinary action in the coming weeks, but many will argue that he has let both himself and his teammates down again due to his temperament.
