Arsenal superstar tipped to replace Real Madrid ace for Spain in Euro 2016

It took over two years for Vincente del Bosque to finally give Hector Bellerin his first cap for Spain. However, necessity is the mother of invention – or in this case the mother of opportunity – and the Arsenal starlet is poised to play a big role for the team in Euro 2016 as a result.

According to the Daily Mail, starting right back Dani Carvajal suffered an injury during Real Madrid’s win over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League and is set to miss significant time in the European championship. As a result, Bellerin will be the next man up and take Carvajal’s spot in the lineup.

Bellerin was snubbed by the La Furia manager for the better part of two years despite an exceptional first two seasons with Arsenal. But after making the PFA Team of the Year just weeks after his 21st birthday, Bosque had no more excuses and gave Bellerin his first-ever cap for Spain in a pre-Euro friendly.
