Man City balk at £65m transfer fee for Bundesliga scoring machine

Manchester City are eager to bring Borussia Dortmund super-striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang into the fold – but the not so desperate that they’ll break the BPL transfer record to get him.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Man City are not willing to pay the £65 million transfer fee Dortmund are demanding for Aubameyang.

However, the Bundesliga giants are reportedly adamant that the price tag they placed on their star striker is non-negotiable.

Such a move would easily break the team transfer record paid for Kevin De Bruyne last season, but would also break the Premier League transfer record that Manchester United paid for Angel Di Maria in 2014.

The Gabon striker was the second-leading scorer in Bundesliga this past season and helped Borussia Dortmund secure a second-place finish and spot in the Champions League.
