Chelsea make non-negotiable £68m bid for Everton star

Chelsea have submitted a non negotiable offer for Everton’s star striker Romelu Lukaku according to the Daily Star.

Per the source, the Blues boss Antonio Conte will make one last bid for the Belgian international after having bids of £57 and £60m rejected.

Had Chelsea’s £60m bid been accepted, Lukaku would have become the Premier Leagues second most expensive player, behind the Argentina international Angel Di Maria who cost Manchester United £59.7m when he joined from Real Madrid two years ago, according to BBC Sport.

However, even Chelsea’s £68m bid will fall short of Everton’s £75 million valuation for the powerful target man.

Everton are however, in no rush to sell considering they still have a contract with Lukaku for the next three seasons. Lukaku joined the Toffees in a £28 million move (fee reported by BBC Sport) from Chelsea in 2014 and scored 25 times in 46 appearances last season.
