Arsenal have prepared a mega offer for Inter Milan’s star striker Mauro Icardi according to The Sun.
Per the source, the Gunners have set aside £30 million plus Olivier Giroud for the Argentina international. The report states that Arsenal face stiff competition from Napoli who have tabled a £50 million offer for the star striker.
The report goes onto state that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is intent on strengthening his attacking options going into the news season.
Meanwhile, the Express claim that Chelsea are also preparing a move for Icardi. The report states that the Blues are ready to rival Arsenal for the Argentina international after failing to land Romelu Lukaku from Everton.
The Express goes onto state that while Lukaku remains Chelsea’s primary target, Everton are refusing to budge on their £75 million price tag for the Belgium international.
Icardi joined Inter from Sampdoria for £11 million back in 2013 and has scored 16 goals and provided four assists in 34 appearances for the Italian giants this season.
