Tottenham team news: Pochettino has good news regarding Harry Kane injury

Posted by

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino was in a buoyant mood during the pre-match press conference ahead of tomorrow clash with CSKA Moscow, following positive news about Harry Kane’s injury.

Kane suffered an ankle injury during Tottenham’s 1-0 victory over Sunderland in the Premier League. The England international was sidelined for Tottenham’s 2-1 win over Middlesborough over the weekend and will miss this week’s Champions League encounter.

However, Pochettino has stated that the damage is not as bad as first thought and that Kane will be back ahead of schedule.

“Half an hour ago, we received the information about the scan. It’s much, much better than we expected,” Pochettino was quoted as saying by SkySports.

“We are happy, it was very positive, the scan. We’re very, very happy about this news but still we cannot give a time of how long it’ll be to recover.

“I am not a doctor, it’s hard to say one, two, three weeks, but it’s much, much better than we expected.”

Tottenham suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Monaco in the opening week of the Champions League group stage.
