Although Liverpool have started the 2016-17 campaign in red-hot form, it has not been a great season for Dejan Lovren so far.

In August, The Sun published revelations about how the defender’s wife had cheated on him with a forestry worker.

Lovren then missed his side’s big game against Leicester City because of a black eye picked up in training.

And now, the poor bloke faces a police investigation over his driving.

Lovren took part in a video for LFCTV which featured him having fun at the wheel of a car, which was carrying Liverpool teammates Marko Grujic and Lazar Markovic.

During the video, which Liverpool have since deleted from their website and social channels, Lovren can been seen using a mobile phone, as well as taking his hands off the steering wheel on multiple occasions.

According to Sky Sports, Merseyside Police are now assessing whether any further action needs to be taken.

Despite Liverpool deleting the video, a 54-second version remains online. You can watch it below.
