Tottenham confirmed line up vs Bournemouth: Dier in defence to replace injured ace while Janssen dropped

Tottenham face Bournemouth in the early kick-off at Saturday lunchtime knowing that a win at the Vitality Stadium would temporarily lift them to the top of the Premier League table.

Spurs currently sit in third place, just a point adrift of joint leaders Manchester City and Arsenal, as they remain the only unbeaten side in the English top flight.

They’ll be hoping to preserve that record when they take on Eddie Howe’s men, who start the day in 11th place and are looking to force their way into the top half of the table.

If they are to secure a positive result, they’ll have to do so against a strong Spurs side even without injured defender Toby Alderweireld who suffered an injury in the draw at West Bromwich Albion last weekend and given he’s been an ever-present for his team, his absence will be tough to deal with.

Eric Dier steps in to replace him in the Tottenham backline, as he did in Europe in midweek, while Harry Kane remains sidelined as he recovers from an ankle injury. Elsewhere, Kyle Walker returns, Danny Rose is fit to play after recovering from a bruised foot, while Mousa Dembele makes his second start of the season.

Pochettino has picked Heung-Min Son to lead his side with the South Korean international in great form so far this season with Vincent Janssen dropping to the bench as they hope to pick up another three important points and show no signs of a European hangover against a dangerous Bournemouth side.
