Manchester United attacking midfielder Juan Mata’s future at the club was in doubt over the summer following rumours that Jose Mourinho had no plans for the Spanish international.
Mata famously left Chelsea for United under Mourinho’s watch and the two were reported to have a frosty relationship.
However, the two players have put aside their differences and Mata has gone onto establish himself as one of United’s best performing players this season.
United have won 13 out of 15 points in the Premier League in games Mata has started and just one out of 12 in games he has not started.
The experienced attacking midfielder scored the winning the EFL Cup against Manchester City mid-week and is expected to feature against Burnley on Saturday.
United shared a picture of Mata on their official pre-match Burnley Instagram post which could be an indicator that he will star in the game at Old Trafford.
