Man United star Zlatan Ibrahimovic escapes punishment despite grabbing Simon Kjaer by the throat

Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has escaped retrospective following an incident during United’s clash with Fenerbahce yesterday evening, according to the Mirror.

The former Sweden international was involved in a heated incident with Fenerbahce’s defender Simon Kjaer, grabbing the Danish defender by the throat and shouting in his ear.

However, the report states that Ibra will not face any retrospective action.

Per-the-source, referee Milorad Mazic missed the incident at the time however, the fourth official spotted the clash and determined that no further action was necessary.

The incident will therefore not be subject to review by European governing body UEFA.

Ibrahimovic got his United career off to a great start scoring five times in five games.

The United forward did however, fail to score against Fenerbahce and has now gone six games without scoring a goal – his worst goal scoring form of his career.
