Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin has agreed a new contract with the club, according to the Mirror.
The Mirror report that the Gunners are preparing to announce the Spaniard’s new contract, which is expected to make him one of the highest earners at the club.
Bellerin has emerged as a key part of Arsene Wenger’s back-line and one of the most promising young defenders in the Premier League.
It is reported by the Mirror that Manchester City made an approach for the 21-year-old in the summer, but their interest was knocked back with Bellerin opting to extend his current deal at the Emirates.
Bellerin is a product of the La Masia academy, but never made an appearance for Barcelona and was poached by Arsenal in 2013. It is a moved off that has paid off for him on a personal level as he has been given the opportunity to play regularly for one of the league’s top clubs and develop into a well-rounded full-back.
