Usain Bolt could be set to embark on a career in football

Olympic legend Usain Bolt is set to train with Borussia Dortmund as he looks to embark on a career in football, according to The Sun.

No, this is not a joke. The Sun report that Bolt has been in genuine discussions about switching from athletics to football when he calls time on his running career in 2017.

The Sun believe that Bolt will be joining up with German giants Dortmund for training and that it is his dream to play for Manchester United.

United could certainly do with an injection of energy, José Mourinho’s side have turned somewhat stale in recent weeks and an eight point gap has opened up between themselves and leaders Liverpool.

There are fewer stranger thoughts than seeing the fastest man on the planet running down the channels at Old Trafford, but if The Sun are to be believed  – it’s not entirely unrealistic.

Bolt is now 30-years-old, so would be a late-comer to the footballing world. It’s going to take a while to get our heads around this whole idea.
