William Gallas has hailed Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante during in interview with the official Chelsea website.
Gallas had high praise for his compatriot, singling out his astounding physical attributes to the Chelsea website: “Kante is an unbelievable player. He can run and run and run for 90 minutes, for 100 minutes or more and he does a great job”
The former Blues defender even went as far as comparing him to Claude Makelele, who is arguably the best player ever to play the holding midfield role: “He can defend very well, he defends like Claude Makelele but at the same time he can attack. He has the quality and he can do a lot for the club.
Gallas was involved in an extremely successful five year spell at Stamford Bridge, in which he won the Premier League twice, as well as the League Cup and Community shield. Controversially, he went on to play for London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham, but the best years of his career were undoubtedly spent with the Blues.
If Kante is as successful as his fellow Frenchman at Chelsea, his decision to depart champions Leicester will look like a smart one. His performances so far this campaign for Antonio Conte’s side have been flawless. The Chelsea faithful will do doubt be hoping that he continues to play in this manner, as it may just win their side the title.
