Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has tipped Manchester United to challenge for the Premier League title in the 2017/18 season.
Gerrard made 710 appearances for Liverpool, scoring 186 goals and winning nine major honours. Having taken up a seat on BT Sport’s punditry panel, however, he can no longer allow himself to see the game through red-tinted glasses.
The former England international predicted that Jose Mourinho’s side would challenge for the title next season, and have a chance of finishing inside the top four this campaign. What would he know about winning the Premier League?
