Arsenal turned down Man City bid for Hector Bellerin and will have to face more attempts to buy him in the future according to mentor

One of the Arsenal coaches closest to Hector Bellerin has revealed that the full back turned down Man City’s approaches multiple times, because of a feeling of loyalty to the club that has expertly managed his development and made him into a top player.

Speaking to the Guardian, Arsenal’s head of coaching Terry Burton said that Bellerin has made two great calls – joining Arsenal at the age of 16 in 2011, and staying despite big offers from Man City this summer.

The bids had long be rumoured, so it’s not that surprising to have them confirmed by an inside source.

However Arsenal can’t rest on their laurels and hope that the “love” that Burton says the Spaniard has for Arsenal will keep him there forever. Burton has no doubt that Manchester City will be back with further, larger offers for the youngster, and Barcelona are a constant menace as they seek to bring back their prodigal son.
