Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is reportedly in advanced talks over a transfer to Real Madrid, but the Blues want a replacement before letting him go.

The Belgium international is heading into the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge, and HLN report that negotiations over him moving to the Bernabeu are at an advanced stage.

They also claim Chelsea want a new ‘keeper before sanctioning his sale, with the Daily Express suggesting Roma shot-stopper Alisson could be that man.

This follows another report from Gianluca Di Marzio stating that new Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri wants Alisson if Courtois does end up leaving the club.

That report also claims Roma have been prepared to lower their asking price for the Brazil international to £61million, in a potential boost to Chelsea’s hopes of getting things done soon.

Courtois would be a big loss for Chelsea and a great signing for Madrid, having shone as one of the finest players in the world in his position for some time.

Alisson, however, also looks the real deal after rising to prominence with Roma, so Blues fans shouldn’t be too downhearted if that’s the change they make in goal this summer.
