Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing to open formal contract talks with Son Heung-min.
That’s according to a recent report from Football Insider, who claim the Lilywhites are in the process of finding out how eager the South Korean is to stay in London.
And assuming the 31-year-old attacker is willing to commit his long-term future to the club, Spurs will formally sit down with his representatives at the end of the season and thrash out the terms of what would probably be another blockbuster deal.

Not only will Spurs need to match the attacker’s financial demands, which currently see him earn £190,000-per week (Spotrac), but they’ll need to present an offer more appealing than what may be on offer from clubs in the Middle East.
Rumoured to be a top summer target for teams in Saudi Arabia’s wealthy Pro League, Son must decide if he wants to continue in top European football or accept a challenge elsewhere.
Nevertheless, hearing the club are eager to tie down one of their best-ever players will come as great news to Spurs fans. Witnessing just how important the 31-year-old has become since Harry Kane left for Bayern Munich last summer, Son is already certain to go down as a club legend.
During his nine years with the club, Son, who has been capped 122 times for South Korea, has scored 157 goals and registered 86 assists in 395 games in all competitions.
Love sonny, he’s a great ambassador for the club, but may be a good time to cash in and use the money to buy a younger striker, as he probably dosnt have more than another season in him at the top level. Can already see that he dosnt have the same pace as a few years ago.
