West Ham striker Michail Antonio has predicted that Tottenham will beat Aston Villa to secure the final guaranteed Champions League qualification spot this season.
Spurs took matters into their own hands last week, thrashing top 4 rivals 4-0 to reduce the gap with Aston Villa to just 2 points with a game in hand.
This meant that if Spurs won their game in hand, they would have went ahead of Villa to clinch the 4th spot.
However, instead of building on their last week’s result, Spurs ended up losing 3-0 to Fulham earlier today.
It was a poor performance from Ange’s side as they looked toothless all game. Fulham took a deserving lead right before half-time through Rodrigo Muniz. And they went on to score two more in the first 16 minutes of the second half to secure a 3-0 win.
Antonio thinks Tottenham will beat Villa to finish top 4
The West Ham striker was discussing the league on the Footballer’s Football Podcast, when he was asked to predict how the top 4 will look like at the end of the season.
Antonio backed Arsenal to win the league over Manchester City and Liverpool and predicted that Spurs will edge Villa to claim the final Champions League spot.
He said: “I’m gonna go Arsenal, Liverpool, City, Tottenham. Or come back to me in five games!”
