Chelsea now lead 2-0 at Stamford Bridge as they now have one foot in the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
Marc Cucurella opened the scoring for his side with a tap-in after a scintillating run from Nicolas Jackson.
Palmer has now doubled that lead just before the interval, guiding the ball past the Leicester City goalkeeper after a pinpoint assist from Sterling.
