Liverpool have joined Spanish giants Real Madrid in the race to sign Lille defender Leny Yoro.
The 18-year-old centre-half has emerged as one of Ligue 1’s breakout talents this season, catching the attention of numerous elite teams around Europe.
Although Real Madrid and PSG’s interest in Yoro has long been known, it looks like other teams have also expressed interest in the player.

According to MARCA (h/t 90 Min), Liverpool and Real Madrid are prepared to compete for the signing of Lille’s Leny Yoro.
The Reds are looking to sign a defender in the summer transfer window and they could make a move for the young French defender.
French prodigy is expected to cost around £51 million, according to the report. The rumour also states that Chelsea are vying for Yoro’s signature, which would intensify the competition for the young talent.
Yoro, who is only 18 years old, has established himself as Lille’s defensive stalwart. He has participated in 35 games in all competitions, scoring three goals along the way.
The centre-back is the preferred choice as Real Madrid’s lack of depth in defense has been clear to see this season, making it a critical position to strengthen in the summer.

Real Madrid are probably going to have an advantage over the other teams vying for Yoro’s services, despite the growing competition.
