All this speculation can drive you crazy! But why oh why are so many players linked with a move to White Hart Lane? And more importantly why are most of those connected with a move to the club strikers, a position that JR has sown up! But that hasn’t stopped the oodles of goal-scorers supposedly being eyed up by the club. These include the following.
David Villa (Valencia 30m) – helped put Real Madrid to the sword last night, still not needed by the club.
Johann Elmander (Toulouse 10m) – scored some goals in France and apart from that god knows why he is worth that much! Again not needed by Spurs
Diego Milito (Real Zaragoza 20m) – quality striker who scores goals for fun, but at 28 what exactly does he have to offer that the Spurs main two don’t already posses?
Luis Fabiano (Sevilla 40m) – yes you read that correctly, that’s what the chairman at the La Liga club wants for the Brazilian.
Give it a rest tabloids, Goalkeepers agreed, a creative midfielder would also be nice, but an goalscorer? Are you having a laugh?
I mean even Darren Bent is scoring freely so unless the Spaniard wants to collect a gaggle of forwards for some sort of ‘striker’ petting zoo in north London I really don’t get it!
