German striker claims Tottenham and Juve want his signature

Indeed, it would be a surprise if the interest in this player was restricted to just two clubs. After all, Lukas Podolski has been very impressive for Germany during Euro 2008, scoring three goals in three games and outshining Miroslav Klose and Mario Gomez in the process.

Sky Sports report that the Bayern Munich striker will talk more about his future after Euro 2008 (sounds familiar!), although he does reveal that Spurs and Juve have currently thrown their hat into the ring.

“I have been informed about both clubs’ interest,” Podolski told Express.

“That is very interesting for me.”

He added: “I really want to reach the semi-final. I will only start thinking about the future after that.”

It’s clear that Podolski hasn’t had a fair crack of the whip at Bayern this season, falling behind the likes of Luca Toni and Klose in the pecking order. It would surely be a magnificent acquisition for Tottenham, especially as we’ve seen he can play in a wide position as well as centre forward.
