Newcastle to bid for fantastic £6m man: Good player, Great price!

If Kevin Keegan seals this deal for that price then he will have made a very good signing indeed!

Newcastle boss Kevin Keegan is preparing a £6m swoop for Tottenham’s out-of-favour winger Aaron Lennon. (News of the World)

The Tottenham winger is unsure of his White Hart Lane future, with Manchester City also reportedly keen on the ex-Leeds man.
Juande Ramos has allegedly questioned the player’s ability, according to the paper, and his resolve may be tested in the event of a bid from Tyneside. (goal.com)

The 21 year old winger has been out of sorts for a while now but there is still no doubting his ability. He has amazing potential and even though he hasn’t impressed at Tottenham recently I am sure that Juande Ramos will still not want to sell. Newcastle could well do with such a talented attacker helping to supply their striker with much needed ammunition, the price however seems incredibly low in today’s market, for instance United are reportedly after 9m for James Milner and whilst I really rate him also I can’t see why he would be worth more than the Tottenham man. Do Newcastle fans hope that Keegan gets his man, or should he try instead to hold on to his cash for other purchases?
