One Ramos target looks set for showdown talks with his La Liga club, that could pave the way for a move to White Hart Lane!
Perennial Premier League target Joaquin will hold talks with Valencia this week before deciding whether or not to remain at El Mestalla.
A tumultuous 2007/08 campaign for El Che has witnessed upheaval from top to bottom and it is not yet clear whether Joaquin features in the plans of new sporting director Juan Sanchez.
The Spain international’s agent Eduardo Espejo is in Valencia this week to hold talks about the player’s future and only after that meeting would the 26-year-old and his representative consider discussing options with what appears to be a lengthy queue of clubs.
Blackburn are the latest side to be linked with Joaquin, whose list of reported suitors also includes Everton and Tottenham. (Setanta Sports)
Joaquin is a class act and his inability to win a place for Euro 2008 was due in no small part to his side’s very average season, which saw Valencia fall from back-to-back top four finishes to tenth place in the table. The multi-capped £12m-rated Spaniard is a winger of the old-fashioned variety, not afraid to take players on and usually spot-on with his crosses. He is also far better value than the much-reported David Bentley move.
Do Spurs fans think that Joaquin would be a good signing and one they are more receptive to than the former Arsenal man?
