According to this source, things are beginning to fall into place at White Hart Lane – and it’s about time!
Tottenham’s move for Andrei Arshavin and Manchester United’s move for Dimitar Berbatov look to be taking shape tonight after it was confirmed that Zenit St Petersburg have signed Danny Miguel for £24million from Dinamo Moscow.
Zenit’s Arshavin has been linked with a £20m move to White Hart Lane all summer long after his terrific displays for the Russian national team at the European Championships. Juande Ramos is keen to add to his striking options after losing Robbie Keane to Liverpool last month. (footballcorner)
Well, this does seem to be a good sign for Tottenham fans! With the Portuguese international joining Zenit for a Russian Premier League record fee it would suggest that Dick Advocaat’s side are readying themselves to lose their prized asset Arshavin. This will indeed be some much-needed good news for Spurs supporters following two abject performances to begin this season of much promise. Do White Hart Lane fans believe this could be a sign that Andrei is nearing a move to north London – and that Berbatov is finally on his way?
