According to this Daily Mail report, Juande Ramos is very sweet on this striker, who is seemingly keen to bring his Russian adventure to a close.
Tottenham are set to reignite their interest in CSKA Moscow striker Vagner Love, but face strong competition from Fenerbahce for the Brazil international.
Spurs failed to land the 24-year-old before the last transfer deadline but are desperate to add another striker in January after struggling since the departures of Dimitar Berbatov and Robbie Keane in the summer.
Everton are also interested in Vagner Love and links with Manchester City have surfaced in Russian and Brazilian media, but Turkish side Fenerbahce could be the biggest threat to Spurs’ chances of landing the former Palmeiras player. (Daily Mail)
After four successful years at Spartak, it appears that Brazilian international Love is ready to make the long-awaited move to the Premier League. Although Spurs will face competition from Fenerbahce and Everton, a move to the north London could well net him the most money, and he can probably also see the potential of Tottenham, not least because of the talented players that Ramos has brought in over the summer.
Come January, if Tottenham are still rooted to the foot of the table, then it may be harder to persuade Vagner, but I am sure the club will start to gradually pull away from the danger zone. Do White Hart Lane supporters believe a striker of the Brazilian’s quality could be just what the club needs?
