Apparently, this sharp shooter is being eyed up by Sunderland, but will Harry let the club’s top scorer leave?
The Daily Star Sunday says Bent could be shipped out by new Spurs boss Harry Redknapp in January as he seeks to pep-up his attack.
And Sunderland are keen to grab 24 year-old Bent. (tribalfootball.com)
£9m-rated Bent has been pretty consistent this term and, even if Redknapp is intent on bringing in many new faces to the club, I think he would do well to keep the former Charlton man whose form must surely warrant another shot at an international call-up. Yes, when he arrived, the fee was a little inflated but he has been determined and kept his head down and seems more like the player that impressed many a few years back. He is a 20-goal-a-season marksman, and that’s something worth keeping, and you can see why Roy Keane would be considering what would be a very intelligent signing given the lack of goals his side manages to carve out.
Do Tottenham fans think that Darren should be sold to make way for new striking talent, or has he done enough to keep a first team spot?
