This youngster could well be heading for a summer exit.
Tom Huddlestone is a leading summer target for Fulham boss Roy Hodgson.
Hodgson wanted Spurs’ Huddlestone to replace Jimmy Bullard at Craven Cottage in January but was knocked back.
Huddlestone is desperate for first-team football and is one of six central midfielders vying for two places at White Hart Lane.
It is understood that Spurs boss Harry Redknapp could be willing to let the player leave if they receive an offer of around £5million.
People Sport revealed last week that Newcastle tried to sign Huddlestone on loan during the last transfer window, while former Spurs chief Martin Jol also wanted to snap him up for Hamburg. (The People)
It does seem that Tom Huddlestone’s career is continuing to stutter and a move away from White Hart Lane seems very likely. If this source is correct and a fee of £5m is all it would take for the west London side to seal the deal then that seems like a bargain to me. Even though The Hudd has struggled in recent months he does have a great deal of potential and at 22 still has a lot to offer. Will Spurs fans miss the former Derby man if he was offloaded by Redknapp?
And if you haven’t checked out this great tool for Tottenham fans, you really need to.
