Former Spurs star lavishes praise on Welsh midfielder.
Former Tottenham legend David Ginola has heaped the praise on Gareth Bale according to talkSport.
The Welsh winger netted his 17th goal of the season last weekend with a superb effort to give his side all three points against Welsh club Swansea.
It is the second time this week that a former French star has praised Bale, with Ginola’s words following on from Zidane’s expression of admiration for the player earlier in the week.
Ginola suggested that Bale should now be considered amongst the world’s best such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Leo Messi.
While Ginola conceded that Bale has not scored as many as the pair, he pointed out that Bale tends to play in a less advanced position yet has still managed to score on a regular basis.
Ginola has urged Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy to do everything he can to keep Bale at White Hart Lane.
A number of top European sides are rumoured to be preparing summer bids for the player with Barcelona and Real Madrid thought to be at the front of the queue for the player’s signature.
But Tottenham are hoping to persuade Bale to stay for at least another season and have reportedly offered him a new deal worth £150,000 a week.
