Turkish side keen on Craven Cottage star.
Turkish giants Galatasaray are reportedly readying a £5m bid for Fulham striker Dimitar Berbatov as the Istanbul side look to bring in another high-profile addition according to the Daily Mail.
The 32 year old Bulgarian international has enjoyed his first season at Craven Cottage, scoring 13 Premier League goals thus far for Martin Jol’s side.
Jol would be loathed to lose Berbatov but the former Man United and Tottenham man may yearn for another shot at the ‘big time’ and given that Galatasaray can offer the flair player Champions League football there may be a chance that the striker pushes for a switch this summer.
Galatasaray brought in Wesley Sneijder and Didier Drogba in January and may well be keen to bring in other additions this summer and no doubt the Super Lig side can also offer Berbatov a more lucrative wage packet than the one he receives at Craven Cottage.
Fatih Terim’s side have already clinched the domestic title this term and progressed through to the Champions League quarter-finals before being narrowly defeated by Real Madrid.
