Monaco join chase for unsettled forward.
Big-spending Monaco could bid for Fulham’s Dimitar Berbatov this summer according to talkSPORT, as the Bulgarian seems to be looking for a move away from Craven Cottage.
The 32-year-old only joined Martin Jol’s side from Manchester United at the start of the season, but is said to be dissatisfied with life at the club, who had a disappointing second half to the campaign, finishing in 12th place.
Galatasaray have also been credited with an interest in the former Tottenham star, as it seems increasingly unlikely that he will stay at Fulham for another season.
He becomes the latest big name to be linked with Monaco, who are planning on making a number of big-money purchases in this summer’s transfer window upon their promotion to France’s Ligue 1.
The likes of Radamel Falcao, Carlos Tevez and Edin Dzeko have all been linked with the club, as well as recently-sacked Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini to replace current boss Claudio Ranieri.
Berbatov scored 15 goals in 35 league games for the Cottagers this season, his eighth and perhaps final year in English football.
