Tottenham Hotspur winger David Bentley is set to leave the club this summer with a number of Premier League clubs said to be on his tail, Sky Sports reports.

The 28-year-old has spent the season on loan with both FC Rostov in Russia and Blackburn Rovers in the Championship, but he hasn’t seen much game time as he managed just 15 appearances in the Premier Liga and turned out only five times for his former club.

Since joining Spurs in 2008 the former England man has managed just 62 games having spent further loan spells with West Ham and Birmingham City in 2011.

He is not expected to be a part of Andre Villas-Boas’ plans next year either and they will likely part ways with a number of sides said to be interested in snapping him up.

West Ham, Wigan and West Bromwich Albion are all said to be monitoring his situation and are ready to pounce should he leave the north London side.

Bentley was at one point considered as a natural successor to David Beckham but after seven England caps he has seen his England career screech to a halt.

He tried the loan route to gain some much needed playing time but he is now thought to be hoping to secure a permanent move away in an attempt to reignite his career.
