Monaco could continue their summer of spending with a move for AC Milan winger Kevin-Prince Boateng, according to Calcio Mercato.

The former Tottenham youngster has emerged as a top player since joining the Italian side, and could be available for around £15million this summer, attracting the interests of other top teams such as Manchester City.

However, Monaco are keen to keep the big names coming after looking like completing the sensational purchases of Radamel Falcao, Joao Moutinho and James Rodriguez, with Hulk also possibly set to follow.

The newly promoted Ligue 1 side, backed by their wealthy Russian owner, hope to challenge fellow big-spenders PSG both in the transfer market and for the French league title next season by recruiting a host of star names.

Boateng has previously said he is happy at the San Siro, after being linked with moves away this summer, but Milan may choose to make a number of changes to their squad this summer after a slightly disappointing season in Serie A.

The Ghanian international has had something of a journeyman career, starting at Hertha BSC as a youngster before joining Spurs. He then had a failed loan spell at Borussia Dortmund, but caught the eye at Portsmouth, where he was eventually bought by Milan.
