Tottenham Hotspur target Son Heung-Min has snubbed the fresh terms laid down for him by Bundesliga giants Hamburg, according to talkSPORT.

The South Korean attacker has been high on Andre Villas-Boas’ wish list for several months now, but his rejection of Hamburg’s contract isn’t strictly good news for the Premier League side as Bayer Leverkusen are in poll position to land his signature.

The 20-year-old striker finished the season with 12 goals for Hamburg, the joint ninth most in the Bundesliga this term, has also been scouted by Manchester United, but Villas-Boas is thought to be the most keen as he is desperate to add further attacking options to his frontline to ensure they qualify for the Champions League following their failure at the final hurdle.

And Champions League football is the trump card that Leverkusen Sami Hyypia has up his sleeve as Bayer managed to secure a third placed finish in the league behind Champions Bayern Munich and runners up Borussia Dortmund.

Seen as a hot prospect for the future, Spurs will have to move quickly to sign him and put together a convincing plan of action as well as an impressive pay structure to tempt him to White Heart Lane.
