Bernard is a target for both Tottenham and Borussia Dortmund.
Brazilian international Bernard has been urged to join Borussia Dortmund over Tottenham by international team-mate Dante according to the Daily Mirror.
Spurs are desperately hoping to sign the highly-rated Athletico Mineiro play-maker, seeing him as a similar player to Luka Modric, who left the club for Real Madrid last summer.
But German club Borussia Dortmund are also targeting the 20 year old, who see the player as the ideal replacement for Mario Gotze, who recently joined German rivals Bayern Munich.
Bayern defender and Brazilian international Dante believes that Bernard would be better suited in the Bundesliga due his physical stature.
The play-maker is only 5ft 4in and weighs less than 9 stone.
When asked about Bernard’s next destination, Dante said ““I talked a bit with Bernard and I explained the philosophy of this country. He is a talented boy who will adapt to Germany”.
Spurs see Bernard as one of their top transfer targets for next season and are desperately looking for a replacement for Luka Modric.
The Croatian was missed last season as the club narrowly missed out on a place in next seasons Champions League.
With Dortmund offering the Brazilian star Champions League football and a shot at the Bundesliga title, Spurs may have to look elsewhere for a play-maker.
