Bosnian is a Madridista anyway.
Roma playmaker Miralem Pjanic has insisted that he is happy to stay at the club for the time being despite recent links with both Barcelona and Real Madrid, according to Sky Sports.
The Bosnian international has also been linked with Bundesliga runners up Borussia Dortmund as a replacement for Mario Gotze after he left for Bayern Munich, however, he has stated that now is not the right time to be leaving the Italian capital.
Barcelona had been rumoured to be preparing an €11 million offer, and though he would relish the chance to play for the Spanish champions, he expressed a preference for their rivals Real Madrid.
“I have been a Real Madrid fan since I was a boy,” Pjanic was quoted by Oslobodjenje. “Certainly, this is my favourite club.
“Barcelona? Who wouldn’t like to play for them?
“I feel good at Roma, though, and at this point I don’t know if I’ll leave this summer.”
The 23-year-old has become one of the most sought after players in Europe this summer after an impressive season for the Italian giants, bagging four goals and eight assists in 29 appearances last season.
Spurs have also been credited with an interest.
