Star gives fresh hope of commitment.
Tottenham Hotspur attacker Gareth Bale has said that the only thing he is thinking of this summer is how he will help the club finish in the top four of the Premier League at the end of the season, Sky Sports reports.
The 23-year-old has been the subject of heavy interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid for much of the summer but they have yet to make a formal approach.
However, speaking at Monday’s official kit launch he outlined his desire to top last season’s accolade laden achievements by going one better and helping Spurs to reclaim their place in the top four.
“I am hoping to improve from last season. Every season I want to keep improving and keep becoming a better player, I have more experience now,” Bale told Sky Sports News.
“For me I need to keep working hard on the training pitch and on game days, and hopefully progress as a player and become even better.”
“I think everyone at the club wants us to finish in the top four, the club wants to be in the top four, and we need to go one better this season and finish in the top four.”
