Players upbeat about chances of Real Madrid target remaining at White Hart Lane.
Gareth Bale’s Tottenham team-mates remain hopeful of him remaining at the club according to The Mirror.
Spurs launched their new kit yesterday and surprised many by heavily involving Bale in their launch campaign.
Clubs often choose not to use players who they feel could leave the club but that does not appear to have been a concern for Spurs, despite strong interest in Bale from Real Madrid.
The Spanish giants have made no secret of their admiration for the PFA Player of the Year and have utilised club legend Zinedine Zidane to make clear their desire to bring him to the Spanish capital.
Bale is understood to have been tempted by a move but a deal no looks off the table after Spurs chairman Daniel Levy remained resolute in his insistence that Bale would not be leaving this summer.
Unlike Luka Modric before him, Bale is not willing to hand in a transfer request to force a deal through, meaning Bale is likely to remain at White Hart Lane for at least another season.
That is also the belief of his Tottenham team-mates, with club captain Michael Dawson expressing his belief that Bale’s continued presence at the club will attract big name players.
